Licenses:
Authority
to do a particular act on another's land, without possession.
Licenses
may be oral or in writing, or even implied from the conduct of the parties.
A license
may be withdrawn by the grantor of the license at any time and for any reason,
except that if the license is in writing for a specified period of time, and
has been paid for, it operates like an executory contract. In short, the grantor
has sold the right to withdraw the license and no longer has the right.
